International Conference on Urban Pests
Around the world, the proportion of people living in urban areas is growing rapidly, and in some countries now exceeds 90%. A range of animals including insects, mites, mammals, and birds have also colonised the urban environment. While some are beneficial, a few are associated with health risks, food spoilage, structural damage, or nuisance.
The International Conference on Urban Pests (ICUP) is a non-profit organization that brings together those with a professional interest in urban pests, to facilitate the exchange of information. Every three years participants from academia, industry, government, and professional pest control come from all over the world to meet at the ICUP, and present research papers and posters, and discuss pest problems. Presentations are in English. Presentations from each Conference are published in a bound Proceedings and CD-ROM provided to participants. Individual papers from the Proceedings may be viewed and down-loaded from this website. Search Proceedings
